Sesame Chicken & Broccoli
Posted by Jeremiah under Recipes
I’ve always wanted to make my own sesame chicken. I get sesame chicken almost every time I go to a chinese restaurant. Believe it or not, I actually find chinese restaurants good places to avoid grains and dairy. Dairy usually isn’t a problem at all; grains can mostly be avoided if you just stay away from rice and noodles. Anyway, I used this recipe:
Watch out! There was an entire cup of sugar in the sauce. It didn’t come out exactly like restaurant style sesame chicken, but it was pretty good. I’m not that great of a cook, honestly, but I like to improvise. So what if I don’t have the perfect recipe? I left out several of the ingredients in this recipe and it still came out okay. This is a great example of how I improvise:
I didn’t have a steamer, so I made one. Don’t worry about having every obscure spice and every cooking utensil you’d probably only use once. Don’t worry about making perfect meals. Cooking is an iterative process. You do it. Then you do it again better.

That looks delicious. Love the domain I’m an omnivore as well. I try to limit red and not eat alot of meat too late at night but we ARE omnivores, why fight our genetic code… EMBRACE IT!
