Weight
I am currently hovering between 172-175. Three months ago this was between 184-187. Like I say in my post about calculating body fat percentage, body weight shouldn’t be your only measurement. Still though, I’m pretty damn impressed with this weight loss. I actually stopped doing as much cardio over the summer and still saw these results. I just didn’t think it would be this easy.

Since I’ve started cutting out dairy, I’ve lost five pounds. Five pounds is a lot when you’re not that far away from your goal weight. It is also a big deal to me because, before I started this diet, I had been trying to lose weight for several months. I was working out several times a week and trying to generally eat healthy, but I lost nothing. Not a single pound. It is incredibly frustrating to put in such an effort and not see any change. In case you are curious, I weigh myself everyday, but take a weekly average and rely on that.

Even so, body weight is not the best way to measure progress. It still feels good to lose a few pounds nonetheless. Today, I ordered a pair of body fat calipers which should arrive soon. It seems like a pretty cheap solution and I can’t wait to start using it. I think measuring body fat is going to be a much more effective approach to tracking progress.


For the past three weeks, I’ve tried the best I could to eliminate dairy from my diet. And what do you know, I didn’t die! But I didn’t completely succeed at cutting everything out. I would say I got rid of the large majority of it, but I did run into a few snags.
